The French hate me

That's got to be the reason why they voted against the EU Constitution. Don't they understand how important a vote in support is to my thesis? Sure they claim they voted against it for some other reasons, but it's really because they don't like me. I blame the whole misunderstanding on some poor high school French teachers. If I had a better grasp of the language, this never would have happened.

Can't let May pass by completely unnoticed.

Even if it did decide to wait until this weekend to show up. The fact that March paid a visit for most of last week was a nice touch, really. I love nothing more that high temperatures in the mid 40s when it's a few days before June.

In other news, I completed my final final last week. No, I didn't mistype. The last final exam of grad school was last Monday. No more classes for me now, just a thesis. (Yeah, just a thesis, as if it is something minor that can be tossed off in a few minutes of spare time.) Still, by this time next year I'll have finished it and be heading to another commencement. The very thought of it gives me a delight that should be reserved for other, more NSFW, indulgences.
